This measure is a count of new eNotify sign-ups, electronic application submissions, and online duplicate driver license and identification card transactions performed annually. Our target is to increase the number of self-serve online transactions by 10%.

The goal of this measure is to increase the number of self-serve electronic transactions by 10% each calendar year. This will further DMV’s efforts to provide self-service options, increasing customer convenience and easing the staffing demand for in-person services. Using technology to improve the quality and decrease the cost of services has and will continue to be a priority for DMV.

An increasing number of our customers prefer to receive notifications and engage with the division via electronic means. As awareness of these options increases, these numbers should continue to grow.

WisDOT/DMV continues to create new electronic services and encourage users to complete transactions online. Public awareness campaigns and expanded use of social media have helped to publicize the availability of DMV’s electronic service options. 2023 usage was 11.4% higher than 2022, which in turn was 12.4% higher than 2021.
